A collision is stressful enough without a confusing repair process on top of it. At Mild To Wild Auto Restoration, we walk every customer through the same clear sequence so you always know what happens next, who is doing the work, and when your vehicle will be back on the road.
1. The first call and free estimate
Everything starts with a phone call or a message through our contact form. We schedule a time to see the vehicle, take photos of every damaged panel, and write a detailed, itemized estimate. There is no charge and no obligation — you get a clear scope of work, a realistic timeline, and an honest opinion about whether the repair is worth pursuing.
2. Insurance coordination
If insurance is involved, our administrative team takes the paperwork off your plate. We submit the photo documentation, negotiate with the adjuster for the correct parts and labor operations, and push back when a shortcut would compromise your safety. You do not have to translate between the shop and the insurance company — we handle that conversation directly.
3. Disassembly and hidden damage inspection
Once the vehicle is in the shop, our technicians remove bumpers, panels, and trim to inspect for hidden damage. It is very common to find bent structural components, cracked mounts, or crushed absorbers behind an intact-looking bumper cover. Anything new we find gets documented, photographed, and added to a supplemental estimate before the work continues.
4. Structural and body repair
Structural work happens on heavy-duty alignment equipment that pulls frames and unibodies back to factory dimensions. Damaged panels are cut out and replaced, welded seams are sealed, and every fastener torqued to spec. This is the phase where a properly equipped shop separates itself from a quick cosmetic fix.
5. Paint and refinishing
Panels move to the paint department for prep, primer, computer-matched color, and high-solids clear coat in a controlled downdraft booth. We wet-sand and buff the finish so blended panels disappear into the surrounding paint instead of standing out.
6. Reassembly, QC, and delivery
Trim, glass, sensors, and calibrations go back on, and the vehicle runs through a full quality-control checklist before we call you. On delivery, we walk you through the repairs, hand over the paperwork, and stand behind the workmanship in writing.
If your vehicle needs collision repair anywhere within about 50 miles of Moses Lake, we would rather show you the process in person. Call the shop or request a free estimate online and we will get you scheduled.
